Clinical Pharmacy

This course covers disease-orientation, therapeutic goal setting, pharmacotherapy intervention documentation, and pharmacotherapy care planning.  It also provides the student understanding of concepts of evidence-based medicine using variety of information sources during evaluation and comparison of various approaches, as to pathophysiology and therapeutic strategies for management of the diseases.

Hospital Pharmacy

This course gives an overview on the practice of pharmacy in the hospital setting. Which covers the study of the organizational structure of the pharmacy department and its relation to other departments which establishes interprofessional collaboration. It emphasis the role of hospital pharmacists based on Philippine Pharmacy Practice Standards (PhilPSP). It also involves the different drug distribution systems, formulary system, parenteral admixtures, pharmacy and therapeutics committee, and general pharmacy administration.

This course  deals with the different prescription order assessment, drug use review, design tailored- fit counselling techniques to ensure medication safety.
