Perspective in Pharmacy

This course will orient the students as to the history and development of pharmacy,   common medical and pharmaceutical terms, basic pharmacy laws, different fields of pharmacy practice along with the respective standards and basic knowledge and skills needed in these different fields for future practice.

Pharmaceutical Botany and Taxonomy Lecture

This course focuses on the understanding of plant morphology, anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, and distinct features of plant species and to identify some plants with pharmaceutical and medicinal importance.


Pharmaceutical Calculation & Techniques Laboratory

This course focuses on the fundamentals of pharmaceutical calculations and techniques that includes system of measurements, density, specific gravity and specific volume, expression of concentrations, prescription and calculation of doses, applied in the practice of pharmacy.

The course covers the chemistry and pharmacy of inorganic medicinals, their physical and chemical properties, preparations, tests and their medical and pharmaceutical uses.  It also includes the concepts, computation and chemical reactions related to qualitative analysis of inorganic compounds.
