The course introduces students to the appreciation in artistic movement from the Impressionism time to the different movements of art. It creates a deeper understanding of the various styles of art as well as the factors that contribute to its changes. It also aims to identify the influences of these art styles in the present day. This subject is intended for college students to develop a sense of value of art and its impact and influence to the modern society, its origins and its direction.

This course focuses on the further exploration of typographic studies. Students will apply previously learned design and typography theory to conceptualize solutions to more complex visual communication problems through the use of professional level graphic design page layout software (InDesign). This intense focus in graphic design will further a student’s production skills and knowledge, extend the student’s capacity for conceptual thinking and visual problem solving, and allow for the further exploration of the creative and practical aspects of typography and the special relationship between type and image

- This is a production course focusing on the aesthetic and communicative aspect of film and video production. Exposing students to a wide range of films, the course provides the students with tools and skills relevant to the pre-production(storyboard, shooting script), production(directing, cinematography techniques) and post-production phases in the creation of video narratives.
