- The course is intended for all engineering students to have a firm foundation on Differential Equation subject in preparation for their degree-specific advanced mathematics courses. It covers the first order differential equations, higher differential equations of nth order and systems of first order linear differential equations. It also introduces the concept of Laplace transform in solving differential equations. In this course, the students are expected to recognize the different kinds of equations, determine the existence and the uniqueness of its solution. The students are also expected to relate the differential equations applied to various practical engineering and scientific problems as well as employing computer technology in solving and verifying solutions.
