This course deals with the study of human development throughout the life span in the areas of physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and moral development. Major developmental theories are tackled. Emphasis is given on the system perspective and the interactive dimensions of human development particularly in the Philippine setting.

This course focuses on the historical and conceptual introduction to Cognitive psychology, which helps students understand what is happening within our mind that leads to a stimulus (input) and response (output) and specifically investigating internal mental processes such as perception, attention, language, memory, and thinking. This course also lays out the foundations of the subject and raising some of the important themes, issues, reasoning, and problem-solving that will enable students to understand and gain insights.                                   

The scientific study of human social behavior – how and why we think, feel, behave, and relate to one another in social situations the way we do. The major theories, concepts, and empirical findings in social psychology are dealt with. Social behavior phenomena in the Philippine setting are examined from the social psychological perspective
