2122-3 IE331 Quality Management Systems

This course shall introduce the principles and practices of Quality Management Systems (QMS); tools and techniques utilized in QMS and adoption of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of quality management.  In the context of quality management methods, a special focus is on production oriented statistical quality control methods (e.g. process capability, statistical process control). The use of statistical applications in the industrial environment is treated by means of exercises and practical case studies.

CLO2: Develop an understanding of the role of technology, managers, employees, and customers in developing a quality-based workplace.

CLO3: Develop abilities to apply quality improvement tools and techniques.

CLO5: Identify current trends and benchmark organizations related to Quality Management.
