The course deals with the safety
and health standards applied to mining operations. It would enable the students to distinguish hazards in mining operations and be able to mitigate it . It would teach them the way to eliminate fatal accidents, to reduce
the frequency and severity of accidents, to minimize health hazards,
and to promote improved safety and health conditions in the mine working areas (Open Pit/Underground).
