Machine Elements

The course deals with the study of mechanisms disregarding the forces and energies that causes the motion. It provides emphasis on the analytical and graphical study of displacement, velocity, and acceleration. This also includes the study of the elements of mechanisms such as gears, train, rolling bodies, belt and pulleys, cams, followers, and flywheels.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLO)

After completing this course, the student must be able to:

CLO1. Analyze the displacement, velocity and acceleration of mechanism using graphical, analytical, or semi-graphical method.

CLO2. Construct mechanical drawings of different elements of mechanisms using manual and/or computer applications.

CLO3. Display creativity in making Rube Goldberg Machine applying the theoretical concepts.
