Electromagnetics

The course deals with the study of electric and magnetic fields; resistive, dielectric and magnetic materials, coupled circuits, magnetic circuits and fields, and time-varying electromagnetic fields. It involves a review of vector analysis and types of coordinate system (Cartesian, cylindrical, and spherical coordinate systems). Topics covered are dot and cross products of vector, coloumb’s Law and electric field intensity of different charge configuration (volume, point, line sheet charge), electric flux density, Gauss’s Law, divergence, Maxwell’s equations and energy  and potential.
