 ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING 1

This is a course that focuses on the principles, development and utilization of conventional assessment tools to improve the teaching-learning process. It emphasizes on the use of assessment of, as, and for, in measuring knowledge, comprehension and other thinking skills in the cognitive, psychomotor or affective domains. It allows students to go through the standard steps in test construction and development and the application in grading systems.

MATH131 COLLEGE AND ADVANCED ALGEBRA (SY25-26)

The course builds upon the students’ knowledge of the properties of the real number system, operations on different types of algebraic expressions, and the solution of various equations and inequalities. The course also covers the prerequisites to trigonometry and calculus, specifically transcendental and non-transcendental functions, including the characteristics of their graph and applications.

MATH253 Elementary Statistics and Probability SY25-26

This course equips students with the basic descriptive statistical tools to describe and understand the features of a specific data set by giving short summaries about the sample and measures of the data. The topics on the collection, presentation, and analysis of data will prepare them to describe real-life problems from the different fields using statistical packages. Furthermore, this course also introduces the concept of probability which describes numerically how likely an event is to occur or how likely it is that a proposition is true.
